Writing a composition or an essay is an important skill, not only for the PMR English Language Examination, but also for the future. For most of my students out there, writing a composition is perhaps the most difficult task. However, it is a skill that you CAN develop if you do the following:

    1. BUILD a strong grammar foundation 

• Do grammar exercises
• Read books on grammar
• Write sentences using your own words

    2. READ a lot to develop a wide vocabulary

• Study how the words are used
• Use a dictionary to learn the meaning of new words

    3. WRITE every day

• Keep a little notebook of interesting phrases or expression that you come across in your reading
• Observe the people you meet, things you hear and see and write about them.
